star_manic 0 Posted December 24, 2013 No way. Fotheringham, Hughs and even Rosario. Then there is the Grant and Rodent years. So many worthy contenders from this era.
nutty nigel 7,509 Posted December 24, 2013 He''ll come through it. Just like Iwan did. Will be interesting to see whether Hooper or RVW play better with him.
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted December 24, 2013 Player not performing up to expectations as yet... Although showing signs of improvement since being used in a 4-4-2. Maybe he just isn''t suited to playing in the hole. As for ''whipping boys'', some players never make the grade. Some players hit runs of poor form. That is just exacerbated at the moment given the managements reluctance to use the squad and injuries.
RvWs 4 year contract 0 Posted December 24, 2013 The good thing about the away end at Sunderland being so high up is the away support got a good view of player movement, their roles etc. I noticed several times when Johan''s movement created space for the likes of Hooper, Fer etc to move into. What I think goes un-noticed is Johan''s work off the ball- dragging defenders wide, out of position which benefitted the team. Yes I''m sure Johan would like to have scored more goals this year (dont all strikers?!) but being a striker isnt just about goal scoring.
