whoareyou? 0 Posted December 25, 2013 Playing Fulham who we always seem to struggle against and apparently we have never scored a Premier League goal at Carrow Road on Boxing day before.Time to bury both those statistics tomorrow.
Dex 0 Posted December 25, 2013 Genuinely think we will :) Don''t believe in this whole "bogey team" status regarding opposition...
SeattleCanary 0 Posted December 25, 2013 I kind of believe in it. Especially when we play Swansea, as I always expect to gain points against them.
Dex 0 Posted December 25, 2013 So do I, but honestly I expect that against any of the bottom half sides (providing we''re not crippled with injuries etc). Does that make us a "bogey team" for those sides?
4th floor 4 Posted December 26, 2013 Depends how you look at the statistics given we''ve spent most of the last 20 years outside of the top flight. Looking at previous fixtures shows our festive record isn''t too bad in recent years. It should be noted that we haven''t played Fulham a huge number of times either, there being several big gaps of many years between meetings when they were in the lower leagues. However, a week either side of New Year''s Day our record versus Fulham is pretty good (3 wins and 2 draws). Two of those were at home, a 2-1 win in January 1972 and the 1-1 draw from two years ago. Ignoring pre-war games, the away game in January 1986 was a 1-0 win.
