Norwich vs Fulham match thread

Recommended Posts

We''re playing like it was 15-20 years ago, outdated kick and rush with little fluency. It only seems to work if the opposition is poor.

Agree - he is very exiting to watch, and will hopefully have a bright future with us - but at the moment he is another player who is just not good enough for the premier league.

Problem is JDT if you are talking these teams up like they are having a revival, then who takes there place? Answer: The teams just above them who they are also taking points off. If they can perform well against Spurs, Everton and us, then why can''t we perform well against at least the teams around us?
All your doing is proving we are in decline, while they seem to be picking up results that are dragging us into it. When will we show some backbone then? Or are you saying that we truly are one of the most poor teams in the league, as we are incapable of performing to the mighty heights of Fulham and Blunderland?

On the subject of Redmond ending more of our attacks than defenders by poor decision making, yes he does but that is true of 95% of 18 year old wingers, which is incidentally why they are not the primary attacking threat of many premier league squads. The fact that Redmond starts every week as the main creator in a midfield says an appalling amount about the way the squad is not complete enough in the middle of the park.
Nuffsaid, whilst this may not have been a humiliation along the lines of Man City or Liverpool this season, taking 1 point from the bottom two sides (ie; two of our biggest relegation rivals) is worrying to you surely?
Absolutely, but overreacting isn''t the answer. IMHO some of the talking points from the match (and I don''t claim to know much about football) were that we looked better playing the starting 11 than after the subs, and how we ended up with 3 yellow cars and they got none. Key one of course is why aren''t we scoring more.

Just saying "we''re sh*te" gets us nowhere.

It doesnt get us all that far even if we produce analysis that would have made Ferguson, Clough and Mourinho look like my dog. The reality is its the club staff that need to do that, I think we have said it before, there is a lack of attacking clue, some say its the tactics, some the squad, some like of confidence but the reality is that this is where we are.

That results leaves the three key indicators like this:1) Points per game 1.055 (compared with 1.157 last season).2) Goals scored per game 0.888 (compared with 1.078 last season).3) Goals conceded per game 1.722 (compared with 1.526 last season). If this were to carry on we would finish with 40 points and a -31 goal difference.
Thank God, 40 points keeps us up! In CH we trust.
Bear in mind that a goal difference of -31 would be worse than any Premier League team last season. Reading and QPR, despite being really rather dreadful, both had a GD of -30. Probably best then to regard that notional 40 points as in effect being 39.
