Jonzey 0 Posted November 18, 2013 Here''s another reason to be cheerful as a Norwich fan today: QPR face record fine While we survived last season with room to spare and have become externally debt free, QPR got relegated , suffered unbelievable financial loss, have been lumbered with an overpaid, ineffective squad of mercenaries and now face a potential fine of £62million (Financial Fair Play may actually be useful)! Imagine if these owners had come into Norwich, or worse; Harry Redknapp (The Destroyer of Clubs) had become manager. It really puts into perspective how well run our club is. p.s what ever happened to that argumentative QPR fan who came on here a couple of years back ''givin'' it large''? [/quote] The story is a little deceptive - if QPR record the same losses this season as they did last season they will have to pay £62 million. The fact they haven''t spent a huge amount of money in the summer and offloaded a lot of their high paid stars means the chances of their losses being that big are very slim. Although getting them under £18m will be incredibly tough. The FFP rules in the Championship are much stronger than those in the Premier League or Europe, this will be an interesting early test of their effectiveness. It's Character Forming 1,156 Posted November 18, 2013 Yes I enjoyed it when that QPR fan came on here at the start of last season saying they were looking forward to getting 6 points from us. He never really recovered when people reminded him they''d not got any against us the season before. It is great to see QPR continuing to prove you can''t simply throw money at a football club and succeed. At the same time I hope our financial management is setup to deal with relegation if the worst happens.

I just want to see a club like QPR punished for trying to cheat their way up the league. Fair enough the fact that they failed spectacularly anyway was satisfying, but they need an official punishment too.
