Yellow Bird 0 Posted November 24, 2013 Good to see another team get thumped, but ours wasn''t just the Man City game. It''s been a nearly year long ''bad patch'' :( See we got a few mentions on Sky today about our defeat!!
whistleblower 0 Posted November 24, 2013 I wondered how long it would take for someone to say "doesn''t make our result look too bad?" albeit this particular thread might be a little tongue in cheek. The reality is that we are now only one goal worse than the next worst performance at Man City this season - is anyone seriously proud of that? or feels that is what we aspire to be? nutty nigel 7,351 Posted November 24, 2013 Is that the official "gutless whingers" view Wiz? And do I understand that the official "Happy Clapper" view is that this result makes our 7-0 defeat acceptable? We need to know these things before we stand behind our preferred visionary leaders... Making Plans 929 Posted November 24, 2013 Our Man City result starting to look not too badI agree, getting battered 7-0 was a pretty good performance.

24March1985 0 Posted November 24, 2013 It was a touch tedious to hear our result mentioned at regular intervals throughout the commentary.
nutty nigel 7,351 Posted November 24, 2013
It was a touch tedious to hear our result mentioned at regular intervals throughout the commentary.
Indeed. The Mancs would have been more interested in another chance to emulate their rivals 9-0 thrashing of the binners.

Houston Canary 0 Posted November 24, 2013 This brings to mind how terrified we looked playing Spurs. All the excuse making seems even stupider now than it did at the time. Ooooo, they''re Spurs and we''re lucky to have a game with them so expecting anything more than to be completely outplayed by them is pie-in-the-sky nonsense. nutty nigel 7,351 Posted November 24, 2013 But then Cardiff actually beat Citeh. So our point against them is starting to look not so bad.....

Dubai Mark 0 Posted November 24, 2013 For me it really doesnt make our 7-0 thumping feel any better for some reason. But, what I did think was that Man City actually played a lot better against us and right now am hoping that when Manure visit us they are also without RVP, Carrick and Vidic.......It''s a long season, and one in which Man City will certainly tonk a few more at home and will also start to get results away too, just in time for when they visit us! QHcanary 0 Posted November 24, 2013 "Hands up who thinks Spurs will get relegated...............nah, thought not"That''s not the point he''s making, and you know it. A 7-0 drubbing can never be made to look good, but it puts a different spin on things when you see Man City dole out the same treatment to a side that would expect to be challenging for champions league spot after spending £100m+. Making Plans 929 Posted November 24, 2013 And how do you square this with 10 men Palace winning 1-0 at Hull while we couldn''t beat Hull when they had 10 men?
Badger 2,389 Posted November 24, 2013 "And how do you square this with 10 men Palace winning 1-0 at Hull while we couldn''t beat Hull when they had 10 men?"This just proves my point that the KC Stadium is a good place to play with just 10 men.
nutty nigel 7,351 Posted November 24, 2013 Then we have to square it with our victory over Southampton. The only other side to have beaten them is Arsenal and they''re top of the tree...
Making Plans 929 Posted November 25, 2013 Well we can make all the isolated comparisons with other teams that we like but the fact remains that after 12 games we''re the 5th worst team in the league and we''re not showing any signs of getting better. It's Character Forming 1,156 Posted November 25, 2013 The Spurs result just emphasized that Man City have been brilliant at home so far this season, but at the same time their results away from home have been rubbish so far. And it does show that they can hand out a thrashing at home to anyone in the league. But of course there are some on here who what to take an anti-Norwich view regardless. But on current form we''re going to be finishing a lot lower. Don''t forget our run in. If we''re not a good few points clear come the end of march we''re as good as relegated. Or.......50% win ration in our last two games that means 50 points and confortable mid-table.Or12 games, fifth worst team in the League and a squeeky end that Ricardo says is good enoughAs for the run in don''t worry, as we hear on this board all the time they will all be on the beach. No worries
Faded Jaded Semi Plastic SOB 995 Posted November 25, 2013 Given that Spurs were hyped as potential league winners and have spent how many millions, surely even the most negative of posters can see that relatively speaking our 7-0 drubbing was not as bad as the 6-0 drubbing handed out to Spurs......
