70's Canaries

Recommended Posts

Thought I would try to lighten the doom and gloom and get a bit nostalgic!

Just in the middle of reading the Norwich City - The Seventies book which got me thinking about the best all 70''s Canaries team - here''s my thoughts, what are yours?

Keelan

Machin

Stringer

Forbes

Sullivan

Suggett

McGuire

Peters

Paddon

MacDougall

Boyer
Not anything to argue about there. [Y]
Can''t agree Tilly. That midfield is too lightweight. I''d put John Ryan in there in place of McGuire. And not just for his goals.

Wow, Jimmy what a side you have put together. Imagine being able to watch them again in the flesh? A couple more of my boyhood heros (I actually can''t really remember if they were any good) - David Cross, Peter Morris ( a decent Binner?) , Jimmy Neighbour and even dear old Tony Powell.

I think I''d drop a midfielder and stick Reeves upfront just to see Charlie Boyer, Super Mac and Reeves all play together - with Paddon in behind. Forget defending we can leave that to Big Dunc.
