I just can''t fathom the point of having a Category One academy if the players coming through are going to be learning Houghton''s negative football, it will hamper their development and ruin their careers. I can see Neil Addams having a serious fight with him at some point, it''s not good enough.

Not if we''re relegated it won''t. Most people agree that we won''t be able to sustain the funding level to keep our category 1 status if we''re out of the prem for more than 1 or 2 seasons. It could be one of the first things to be cut back in order to keep or buy new players to fund a return to the promised land.

How much will Hughton''s tactics affect academy players?

Surely the academy coaches who run the teams, make the selections and choose the tactics will have far more impact on the youngsters development than decisions Hughton makes for the first team?
