Juggy 0 Posted December 7, 2013 And we need to start getting behind him and the team over the next few weeks, where there are some excellent opportunities for wins which will see us put breathing space between us and the relegation zone.Time for us to stop talking about relegation and start talking about catching and overtaking the vile. Good result no matter how much luck we had, scored both of our goals on the counter - straight out of the book of Paul Lambert. Good performance and good result. We desperately need a couple of strong players in January though, an experienced defender at least.

BOO 0 Posted December 7, 2013 There has to be a positive response from all the fans to this, good use of subs, great to see Murphy come on, players really giving their all, excellent!
Juggy 0 Posted December 7, 2013 There will be many many posters who having called for Hughton to be sacked last week will shirk away and won''t say a thing about this win. Think about that rather than having a pot shot at those of us who just worry about the football club when questioning his performance.

Gingerpele 0 Posted December 7, 2013 Just about got it right today.WBA should have scored, like we should have against Cardiff. Sometimes the luck does even out. Another ref may have given WBA a penalty (don''t think they should have had one, but could have ben given). We should be thankful for great ref performance, absolutely stunning Ruddy performance. And some decent attacking play. Hughton went with two up front, brought Murphy on just about the right time (could have done few mins early) brought Turner back in. All positive things.Got three very winnable games coming up, need to do what we''ve failed to do so far this season and follow up with another positive performance and result! Draw minimum against Swansea to get some momentum going.

JF 694 Posted December 7, 2013 Superb result, if we can follow that up with 3 more points against Swansea then he will be getting a lot more fans back onside.
Juggy 0 Posted December 7, 2013 Mr Lister, this result will get a lot of fans back onside. The point at which he would have been sacked is irrelevant, a defeat today would have been an away defeat too far to keep the fans on board.

I was moving off the fence and heading towards the Hughton out band wagon. Mainly because of the negative tactics and game plans. Today it was great to see a change and despite injuries Hughton looks like he set the team up yo win and not just hold off the opposition. Stoke winning wasn''t great for us but we''ve got a nice run of games coming up where we can look to push up the table and get clear of relegation zone. Canary Wundaboy 1,358 Posted December 7, 2013 I was calling for him to be sacked. This result makes me think perhaps he is learning from his mistakes, and thank god we''re starting to play balls up to our strikers so they can stick the round thing in the goal. I''m still not happy with the quality of the team (especially at the back) but getting 3 points today is a massive boost.
Buster Douglas 0 Posted December 7, 2013 So Le Juge your saying that had we lost today he would have totally lost the fans??How many peeps on here thought we''d win 2-0? I for one thought a draw would have been a decent result. to win was brilliant!Having said that we were on the back foot for most of the game, but, we took our chances as opposed to WBA who were lacking that finishing touch!Anyway we won!! COYY Get In!!!OTBC

Is that a pop H, I wasn''t making anti Hughton comment here, I think the team battled well today, and stuck to a game plan and played with fight and guile. I am delighted Hoots was positive with his team selection, and subs, and Murphy on was the master stroke, it widened play, stretched their back 3 they were playing, and got fer in. It was not a moan at hoots, but I was suggesting the players implemented the boss''s game plan, albeit we rode our luck, perfectly. If it can be carried forward and we continue to improve, I''ll be delighted.
Rock The Boat 1,324 Posted December 7, 2013
Mr Lister, this result will get a lot of fans back onside. The point at which he would have been sacked is irrelevant, a defeat today would have been an away defeat too far to keep the fans on board.
This is what I have a great problem understanding. After Tuesday''s defeat it was Hughton out and after one win you think that a lot of fans are now back on side. You also said on this thread that we ought to now start supporting Chris.Don''t you think that the time to support Chris - and the team - is when things are going badly? Because that''s when they need it most. It''s easy to support a team when they''re winning but it takes a bit of bottle to support a team that isn''t winning. We''ve been very inconsistent this season. Even during a game we can play well for a period and then the players seem to switch off. Today we saw two really well taken goals but we also saw the other side when we just could not clear the ball to one of our own players. So we have the players and they have the ability to do well, They just need to be more consistent and have more self-belief and the results will follow.Instilling that belief is partly down to the manager but once the players cross the touchline they need to perform. The supporters can help in this regard, Getting behind the team is important and doubly so when things are not going well.If we lose the next game will we back to the same old same old on this message board? I think we can do better than that.
Juggy 0 Posted December 7, 2013 Those people deserve credit Mrs Miggins, because they can''t be accused of having an anti-Hughton agenda but a pro-Norwich City agenda. It is those who do not show their face again until something goes wrong who are deserving of criticism from this collective community of fans, and only an idiot wouldn''t be able to see that (yes I am calling you an idiot).Otherwise you begin to look like you have your own agenda, which is to get one over other fans by rubbing their faces in it whenever the opportunity arises. Which coincidentally is the same mindset as the one possessed by those ''Hughton-outers'' that you won''t hear from this week. Making you and them one and the same.
