Moosheep 0 Posted October 27, 2013 As a kid, in the mid-80s, I watched a game at Carrow Road where the referee got knocked unconscious. There was some incident, players surrounded the referee and when they dispersed he was laid flat out on the turf. He was down for a good few minutes before being stretchered off to be replaced by one of his linesmen. I''m pretty sure no one was sent off. Does anyone remember this and can anyone tell me anything else about the incident? ThanksMoo
spencer 1970 207 Posted October 27, 2013 I can''t remember that one Moo, but I do remember Chris Woods flattening a striker (dunno why but I think it was a Carlisle player), and he laid flat out in Woodsy''s area for a few minutes as the game went on.Proper players back then. :P

I found some YouTube footage of the game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MY51ldn9BAU but no mention of the incident.Moo
