lincoln canary (& Golden Coppel) 0 Posted October 27, 2013 Had we beat Villa Lamberf would be leading the sack race and Hughton Would be relatively safe. Fine margins.
Yellowbeagle 0 Posted October 27, 2013 Of course the Villa forum will have plenty of people on it who are not convinced by Lambert, he''s hardly pulled up tree''s while at Villa. Do people honestly believe that Norwich fans are the only fans out there bickering about things?
whoareyou? 0 Posted October 27, 2013 Living in the Midlands, i can tell you that Villa supporters remain unconvinced by Lambert on the whole. Word is that Gareth Barry was offered to Villa on loan before Everton stepped in. He wanted to return but Lambert its alleged to have said he didn''t want him which after his performance yesterday has probably turned a few more against the manager. Interesting if true , and does support even more the view that Lamberts main weakness is his inability to manage "big" players. Was always the question when he was with us; great with lower league players but as soon as they become a threat he gets rid of them. Darren Bent is another example. Lambert likes the Alpha Male bit, ask anyone at Colney.
JF 694 Posted October 27, 2013 He isn''t doing well very well is he, yet his side turned up here and kept their first clean sheet for ages, taking away 3 points. Says a lot for Hughton''s ability. This whole episode hasn''t turned out well for anyone.
king canary 7,604 Posted October 27, 2013 So to sum up our former manager is doing slightly less sh*t than our current manager? Great.
ron obvious 1,502 Posted October 27, 2013 I''ve said it before, but the Lambert era was a once in a generation event. I doubt he''ll ever do as well again.
iron_stan 0 Posted October 27, 2013 the difference is he will turn it around. just like he did last season, and you might want to note theyve beaten both arsenal and man city alreadythey at least look like they have goals in them
Dubai Mark 0 Posted October 27, 2013 Villa in addition have had HUGE (actually bigger than that) slices of luck this season, at least two seasons worth already. I watched there games vs Arsenal and Man City, both games on another day they would have lost comfortably, particularly vs Man City which was so one sided it was embarrassing yet they won. They also didnt exactly beat us convincingly in a a game that could have gone either way and all this, with for the most part, one of the very best strikers in Europe at present in the side. But, I do agree, they do have goals in them and that will probably just keep them away from the drop zone....
Beefy is a legend 224 Posted October 27, 2013 Er..Stan, they''ve lost 4 out of 5 home games and haven''t scored a goal in three of them.
