Meh. Let''s face it, how many English players are good enough to get in their first eleven? The few that are good enough have already moved to clubs that have significant financial muscle, making them overpriced when compared to foreign players of a similar talent level.

It is rather a far cry to when they tried to limit foreigners in footy - not really too much the FA can (or perhaps should want to) do about it, but it is a shame that the best sides seem so lacking in decent home-based players.

premier league is (arguably) the best league in the world, its great to watch most of the time, that comes at a price. The premier league attracts all the big sponsors, the tv money etc, clubs get that money and spend it on big nameswe can get rid of all the money if you like, and limit the number of foreign players, but then it means we dont get to watch all the world class individuals week in week, it also means the tv coverage dries up quite considerably

Micah Richards can feel hard done by not to get more game time at Man City. Really hope he comes back to form for them - after today, obviously - and gets back in the England side.
