Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted November 2, 2013 .........the Players Clearly Want Hughton Out!After a long run of poor results with the odd win Hughton and his coaching team are under pressure. But I don''t hear the players coming out and stating the poor games are their fault and stating their support for the manager. Perhaps they don''t think they are; perhaps they think they are constantly being set up to fail buy inept management and coaching. Can it be coincidence that time and again we are undone by goals hitting us on breaks ranging from goal attempts (Villa) or corners (Chelsea) or just giving the ball away (take your pick). Mark Robbins did his solidarity stuff on Tuesday but did say at half time our lack of width made it really difficult for a player in possession to play the ball and as a result we end up trying to play through teams and losing the ball. And when we do lose that ball this way we are overly committed and get hit. Holt couldn''t stand anymore. The writing on the wall was there as soon as Calderwood came in and it makes you wonder if he was promised a move at the end of a season where his lack of fitness now speaks volumes for his overall disaffection. In the cup we were the only side not in a competitive game. Any side (like Luton) gets up for the cup; but we didn''t. And although the top sides are always likely to beat you, as early last season showed, you can beat them on a given day or at least make it genuinely hard for them. But the Norwich side which did those things, like the side which had a 10 game unbeaten run, was a spill over from the spirited Lambert side. But that spirit died when Hughton played repeat games and his one dimensional, inflexible and intransigent management was well and truly worked out to the chagrin of his players. As soon as goal one went in today you knew that was it and at 2-0 I said to my wife ''this could be a 6 - 0 plus.'' Because the players have no fight in them. We have all had bad managers and know how it ruins a workplace let alone your own working life. We have also had god managers and, whatever your line you work for that manager above all else. This is especially true in the military and public services. The same players who would run over a cliff for Lambert stop well short of the edge under Hughton. It makes me wonder whether higher paid, higher profile players at Newcastle did for Hughton. How many people on here can honestly say they themselves feel lifted by Chris Hughton. You might like or respect him but do you see him in the technical area and feel there is a leader to get behind? Few people can be great leaders. It is an elusive quality. Lambert had it and he was a man who kept a real distance from his players. But you know when a manager has it and Hughton the top coach does not and never will. Roasted Canary in a Laughing Stock with Vegetables on the side. This is what Hughton has reduced us to.

First Wazzock 863 Posted November 2, 2013 they are constantly being set up to fail buy inept management and coaching. Nail on the head Rude.We don''t mark, tackle or pass very well. Players stay rigidly in ''their zones'' and we don''t attack or defend as a team. It''s a shamblesHughton OUT
Bury Yellow 2 Posted November 2, 2013 Rob Butler making similar good points on twitter. I might even listen to Canary Call tonight. Could be interesting.
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted November 2, 2013 Tell you what, Bury. You and I have taken some serious Sh!t on this message board for months for criticising Hughton.
Rudolph Hucker 0 Posted November 2, 2013 And as for David McNally. The man isn''t worth his salt if he hasn''t been making contingencies for today. Yes, he continued to give Hughton opportunities, especially as Hughton was his man who he back financially but, he must have been planning for the players becoming unmanageable by a manager they don''t believe in. Put your gonads back in, Dave, and act in the best interests of Norwich City.
Bury Yellow 2 Posted November 2, 2013 Well Rudolph, yes we certainly have, plus a few others too. Thing is it''s easy to argue for the status quo in any life situation or business and appear to be so clever.
