pete 318 Posted September 21, 2013 Totally ineffective against Spurs and did bugger all against Villa how does he make the team?
Reverend Timothy Smallpiece 0 Posted September 21, 2013 More than Dean van Coneyswinkle. Can hold the ball up, challenge in the air, get a shot off, not give away petulant fouls.. should I go on?
grefstad 0 Posted September 21, 2013 Because he is big and strong and Hughton likes such...thats why Wes is not playing

Reverend Timothy Smallpiece 0 Posted September 21, 2013 A bit pedantic but we haven''t "bought" him.
GJP 79 Posted September 21, 2013 Does nothing Becchio couldn''t. And might have less goals in him.
Stowmarket Canary (not Delia) 0 Posted September 21, 2013 Maybe if he was played in his actual position as a striker, rather than in a withdrawn role then he''d do better!
i hate 1p5wich 0 Posted September 21, 2013 time i got off the fence . i think Elmander should be played as a no9 with hooper feeding off him . hoots days are numbered if he cant start to sort things out . respects otbc
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted September 21, 2013 In the role behind the striker, really not impressed at the moment. If Wes is fit I think he is unlucky not to be getting games. We have a striker who is desperate for a player who feed his runs, surely Wes is the man for this.
GJP 79 Posted September 21, 2013 It just hasn''t worked at all with RVW and Elmander. And it has never looked likely to.

swjf50 0 Posted September 21, 2013 I did ask the same question to the people sitting next to me at Carrow Road. I''m not sure he fits into the system we are playing, but he doesn''t score many goals and isn''t really a creative player, so all I think he brings to the team at the moment is that he can hold the ball up and is strong.Hoolahan deserves a chance and obviously Hooper, other than that we are clutching at straws. Howson is another who might be able to play that role.We really miss a bit of creativity in midfield as we tend to be so predictable and very often our build up is too slow. Highland Canary 76 Posted September 21, 2013 So did I Mr B - why or why no Hooper and Pilkington from the start? The scary thing is I predicted the exact starting line up when I would have had Olsson, Whittaker, Tettey, Hooper and Pilkington ( for Snoddy) all starting.
