Returning Avatar 0 Posted September 25, 2013 Hopefully CH''s introduction to the fray will take some pressure off the lad. He''s got a big price tag and will know he has to deliver. To be fair, he''s had some shocking service so far this year- taking too long vs Spurs notwithstanding- and lumping long balls up to him is pointless (so much so that we targeted Snoddy from goal kicks on Saturday who''s possibly the worst header of the ball in the club). Give the lad a break and let him find his feet. His twitter feed was all positive stuff last night. I for one hope he proves a great signing.

BroadstairsR 2,159 Posted September 25, 2013 Agree with this.Hooper looks set to be the number one striker now and it is something I had anticipated. This is not to distract from RVW in any way, despite some of the absolute nonsense posted about the boy on here. He will now though likely have the spotlight taken off him and be able to ease himself into the demands of the Premier League and the English style. We have two very, very good strikers on board now and it is up to Hughton to evolve the best team/tactics to give them the service that they can prosper on.He particularly needs to find the best set-up for a ''two up front'' situation that might be needed when chasing games.
