Interesting Jas!

Would he be ahead of:

Cech - no

Lloris - no

Mignolet - maybe

Sczcesny - yes

De Gea - maybe

But on current form you would say only De Gea is in trouble, the rest are ahead IMO.

Hodgson''s sycophantic relationship with the big clubs has yet again led him into trouble.

With two competitive games coming up, he cannot push an inexperienced keeper into the team.  He needed to give Ruddy and Forster the experience in the many pointless friendlies that he has had.  His obsession with letting Hart play his way back into form has left all his eggs in the Hart basket.

In many respects Hodgson is unlucky but in his handling of his goalkeepers over the last two years, he has just been inept and has left himself with no options and he is now very dependent on Hart finding some form when it matters.

It''s not just Hodgson though, most if not all of the recent England managers have given their 2nd or 3rd choice GKs little or no game time, even in friendlies, meaning that they are unlikely to risk them when the 1st choice GK has a drop in form.

The Rock''s already said it but Hart will always be number one as he plays for a big club and Woy is obsessed with them. This is the man who took Martin Kelly to the European Championships!!!

Totally agree. The pressure on a keeper playing for his country must be immense. The fact that Hodgson and past England managers fail to get their second and third choices enough games to give them a much better chance of success if/when they are called on is basically idiotic.

Sadly this says more about Woy than a million threads like this ever will.

Discussion on 5 Live earlier tonight with the usual suspects who know bugger all.Barely mentioned Ruddy it was almost like he didn''t exist. General opinion was that FF was a remote 2nd choice but "we cannot afford to take any chances and drop Hart". Yeah right, how they work that one out is beyond me. Still, when it all goes tits up, Hart has another mare & we don''t qualify they''ll only have themselves to blame.
