Watching City in Vegas

Recommended Posts

Will be in Vegas for the Cardiff and United Cup game. And LA for the Man City game.

Was hoping one of my friends from the US can tell me what kind of coverage the Premier League gets over there, do they have one live 3pm game? or are all games accessible?

The 2 League matches will be 7am local time,

Also do I have any chance of catching the United game? or will there be no League Cup coverage in the US? Slightly better midday start for that!

Thanks in advance

The coverage of Premier League football is pretty good in Las Vegas. They seem to show most games in the sports areas in the casinos along with all the baseball, etc, but there''s an '' English '' pub called the Crown & Anchor which I think shows all the games. They''ve got a good website and it''s owned by a bloke and his wife from Manchester ( or at least up North somewhere ) and he''s dead keen on the '' footie ''. I think he might be a Man City fan ?The pub is quite a trek from the Strip so it''s probably best to get a cab but it''s open 24/7 which will be no surprise. The '' cask '' beer of all the old mainstream favourites is dispensed from a long line of tiny taps on the bar wall but it tasted OK. Incidentally although I''m supposed to be too old to notice such things the American barmaid was rather fetching in her short tartan skirt and seemed fascinated by our British accents.I somehow doubt she was wearing the family tartan .....

Both great bars, had the same dilemma as the op.
Like you said though, always best to take a cab anywhere off the strip especially in the early hours of the morning - Vegas can be a dangerous place!

Better make it a very late night on the Friday, or an early start on the Saturday.

Guessing there''ll be little chance of watching the game whilst in LA, better take the Laptop.

Really hope I can get the cup match somewhere!

Thanks Lads, I''ll look into the 2 suggested boozers

"Early start" in Vegas? Go for the very late night.
First time Tilly! Im as excited as a kid going to Disney Land!
It''s certainly not the place to take your Aunt Mabel. Especially with all those calling cards being handed out by all those men in '' Girls in your room in 20 mins '' T-shirts.Aunt Mabel might wonder why a strange woman would want to go to your hotel room when you''ve already gone out for the day.....[:D]

Every single Prem game is broadcast live this season in the US so when you get to LA find yerself an English/Irish pub and ask them if they''ll be showing it. It''s a huge city though so it''ll depend on where you''re staying. I''m in Long Beach, next to LA and Shannons open early for footie fans.

If you are staying at a casino, most have a sports betting area with loads of TVs (Cesar''s Palace must have had 40). A 3pm KO will be 7 am in Vegas put a couple of bucks on city and I''m sure one of the TVs will be available for you at that time of the morning.

I will be In Vegas for the Arsenal game (I have been in Vegas for many Norwich games) but I can never get up early enough to watch the 3pm (7am) kick offs.

As has been said though any of the sports books in the casinos will more than likely put it on if asked and especially if you have a little wager
