It would trouble me though if we sit too deep, we need to press them fairly high up the pitch. If we start are defending our 18 yard line too much it will be a long afternoon

Rubbish. Anyone with the power of rational thought knows that barring an absolute tonking against arsenal, the situation for Hughton remains the same, even if we lose.

I also don''t understand why Hughton''s comments before games get over analysed. They''re platitudes, and nothing more.

He makes the same basic platitudes as most managers but perhaps because Hughton''s style is more engaging, our weaker-willed fans think that means more than if he just rattled off the same generic statements like he''s trying to remember a script.
