Mr Brownstone 0 Posted August 25, 2013 It''s apples and oranges really. When we''ve been in the Championship we''ve had reasonable budgets compared to the competition, by Premier League standards our budget is tiny.On the other side LDC, you make it sound like he took over a team in trouble and kept us up against the odds (Roeder?!), when in realty he took a team that finished comfortably in mid table and improved the squad. Hannibal II 0 Posted August 25, 2013 i find it interesting that although they have similar win ratios three were lambasted out of the club pretty much unanimously. As for different league i would say the difference in quality in the squads more than compensates for the differing league between the managers wouldnt you say? and we all know what a competitive league the Championship is. Also I don''t care who we beat last year its not like you get 6 points for beating the team who wins the league. I''m far more worried by the list of teams we''ve lost to under Hughton than i am satisfied with the teams we have beaten.
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted August 25, 2013 It''s not really relevant, different divisions and situations for starters. What matters is the here and now.

Is that right?
City 2nd 191 Posted August 25, 2013 Well researched H2:And interesting to say the least, 3 were sacked on the basis of those figures, and Grant walked.Over to McNally methinks.

Hannibal II 0 Posted August 25, 2013 LDC while i can understand your assumption from my previous statement let me make it clear i am a lot happier than most when we win i can assure you that. I simply mean we lose and perform very badly against teams below and around us. (our main competition) Last season we took the most points off of the top 6 teams that finished outside of it but on the other hand we had the worst points tally against the other 13 teams other than those relegated. i find that worrying as we can''t rely on beating the top 6 clubs every year to stay up. T 190 Posted August 25, 2013 Complete and utter nonsense to make win ratio comparisons between divisions when we can''t compete financially in hte premier league
Orford65 0 Posted August 25, 2013 Based on league matches in the top division only, Worthy''s win % was 18, Hoots stands at 25% and Lambert at 31%.All are some way behind Mike Walker''s staggering 50% in 1992/3.
Hannibal II 0 Posted August 25, 2013 What nonsense you talk we are the 8th highest spenders on transfers in the premier league this transfer window. sounds like we compete better than most financially at the moment to me....
T 190 Posted August 25, 2013 1 transfer window not finished2 you have to look at wages as well which are the main prediction of league success3 A squad takes time to build. We have had to pay 20m of external debt off over the last 2 seasons which has seriously handicapped us compared to the few other clubs which are wither mcuh larger or the majority of mid-table teams which are subsidised by benefactors. 4 We actually have the 17th largest financial investment in the squad in the premier league over the last few seasons
