Warren Hill 0 Posted August 27, 2013 With so much negativity around, I thought it might be worth concentrating on some positives, like how good we appear to be at beach football.Only last season we managed to bag a 3-2 win against the mighty Manchester City while both sides were on the beach. We even beat them on their own beach, no mean feat. Of course we''d hammered 4 past West Brom but we were taking potshots from the promenade while they were dithering in their deckchairs. They clearly heeded the beach football lesson we gave them when playing Man United the following week. Now I haven''t researched all the beach games from last season but we must be just about the best around, Howson clearly relishes playing in his flip-flops, he''d have been a revelation at Derby had he played at the Baseball Ground sand pit years ago. So there you go, Norwich City, leading the way in beach football.

nutty nigel 7,902 Posted August 28, 2013 Thinking about it Paul Lambert was pretty crap at this beach football malarkey. I remember Carlisle coming here in 2010 and giving us a right lesson. But I guess they''re made of sterner stuff up in those parts and probably trained on the Cumbrian coast which was probably akin to Ron Saunders'' boot camps on Mousehold Heath. Not sure what the excuse was the following season against Coventry........
