The dymnamics of a football club

[quote user="Louis Cyphre"]Downloads,

I think a wider principle is at stake here. Whatever you think of LDC''s originating post, it appears that there is an attempt to play the man and not the ball. LDC is pretty thick skinned, but there are way too many threads on this board being trashed or deleted. Surely, if you dont like a person''s style or views on a thread that they have started, it would be easy to ignore and then we save a lot of nonesene which clogs the board up.

Does this not apply to replies as well as the opening post? Or is it just another case of a poster trying to moderate the board to suit their own agenda?

-- LDC said: Lambert''s job was easy compared to Hughton''s (please don''t take this sentence out of context). Going up, promotion etc was fantastic - but the reality is that staying in this division and even becoming a top half team - is the real challenge, now we are here.

I don''t buy into this I am afraid. Paul Lambert''s job was less risky, in the sense that we had nothing to lose. But that does not make his achievements any less impressive.

Chris Hughton did well last season taking over a team in 12th on a limited budget and retaining our position after the previous manager moved on to fresh pastures. But this season is the real deal. The big money has been spent, we can no longer claim to not have the squad, or be catching up our peers. 25% of the division (Southampton, West Ham, Cardiff, Palace and Hull) have been in the league for less time than us.

Of course another thing seems to be continually overlooked from last season. Under Hughtom we actually had a cup run.

Hughtom? That''s a new one. You do realise that continually spelling his name wrong is disrespectful, don''t you?
