Hardest ever player?

Recommended Posts

Vinny Jones was asked who the hardest player he had played against was. Interestingly he said our very own legend Ian Crook.

I just want to know how barbers made a living in the Seventies.
In the box, looks like Keelan, Butler, Forbes, Black and StringerFor Birmingham,  Bob Latchford, Bob Hatton and I think the no11 is Gordon Taylor

Surely he would have said ''hardest'' as in ''most difficult'' to play against if referring to Ian Crook?
He was 5ft 7", slightly built, and wasn''t the type to get stuck in. Would make much more sense if he meant most difficult, as nobody could get near him - like Paul Scholes.
The kind of goal often disallowed in the past. Nowadays this goal would have stood.
