Mister Chops

2009-10 all over again!

Recommended Posts

When are our club going to learn that throwing loads of players together is a sure-fire way to fail in a big big way?  I suppose with a cook at the helm it''s only right that we''re following a recipe for disaster, but even so, have we learned nothing from Bryan Gunn''s second bite at the poisoned apple?Redmond = Simon WhaleyFer = Owain Tudur-JonesVan Wolfswinkel = Goran MaricHooper = Cody McDonaldOlsson = Steven HughesGlad I didn''t renew my season ticket now.  What a shambles.

I''d like to think that I''m one of the most negative people on this Board, but, even I can''t agree with you.

It is worse than that. This is 1902 all over again, when we brought in 29 new players. I said at the time it was too many, and they would never gell, and 111 years on it seems I was right. Look at the pickle we''re in now.

I thought it was funny Chops! But maybe the sarcasm depends on people recognising the poster?!

It beats me how someone with 4,443 posts on this Forum can not be aware of the brand of humour associated with another Member who has 14,695 posts to his name.

The Quag = Matty Gill

Gill was QUALITY :P - in all seriousness a lot of people in the dressing room had a lot of good to say about him, seem to remember this coming up at a POTS dinner.

I had to laugh that the OP compared Redmond to Simon (Northern Premier) Whaley and Van Wolfswinkel to Goran (Ex-Barcelona megastar) Maric.

I hope this post is a wind up, otherwise it is a load of Bull, the significance of the signings is not the numbers but the new ones are quality whereas most of the 2009/10 were very poor, where are they all now??
And there was me thinking that Mr Chops had just gone to Blackpool.
Brilliant that Chopra''s gone to Blackpool.  Casinos and slot machines everywhere.  I was slightly disappointed he didn''t go to Newcastle United to replace Cisse, as I''m sure Wonga.com would be far more suited to Chopra''s sensibilities.

I had worked out you are of mature years Purple, but not quite of those, proportions.

Seriously though we do need to keep expectations in proportion. It will take time for our new players to gel into our team, so some patience is called for from us supporters - which is not our strongest suit!
