Gaz06 0 Posted August 13, 2013 Was reported by Sky as being £4 million... Just wondering how we managed to get him this cheap when Everton were bidding £8.5 million for him in January!

GJP 79 Posted August 13, 2013 Plus Twente would have known Everton were looking at Fellaini going to Utd and that put them in a stronger position.
JayNCFC 14 Posted August 13, 2013 Listening to TalkSport today it sounds like Fellaini might still be going to Utd - they seemed to think this would be more likely than Baines going (I prefer Baines myself, but to dislodge Evra and go in ahead of Buttner would be a slap in the face to the pair) - so it appears Everton have missed the boat on that one, much to our credit. In the two pre season friendlies I he won every midfield header that he went for. Plan A. B and C from goal kicks was to find him too.£4m with add-ons (providing our safety) would be a fantastic purchase. I believe we have played our "Small time club" going hat in hand to others (comparatively) has worked a treat - this underlines that.

AJ 1,218 Posted August 14, 2013 Prices in football these days are meaningless, there''s probably a whole bag of add-ons to go with the up-front cost (if it even is 4 million)
Johnny Stump 1 Posted August 14, 2013 Aren''t wages also sometimes included when these transfer fee figures are bandied about?
