Tetteys Jig 830 Posted August 15, 2013 Seems he will find his way to one of the lower 14 premiership teams before the end of the month. Pace to burn, goals, still young and premiership experience, could he be what we need? I doubt he''d be too expensive either.
Tetteys Jig 830 Posted August 15, 2013 Interestingly, on skybet, we are one of only 4 premiership clubs (not including Man City) not on the bet slip!http://www.skybet.com/football/transfer-specials/event/15021112Hull, Man U and Arsenal being the others. Bethnal Yellow and Green 1,557 Posted August 15, 2013 No need for a left winger and he''s being paid £50k a week at Man City. Pass.
Tetteys Jig 830 Posted August 15, 2013 He''s adept through the middle and he''d take a pay cut for regular football (or Man City would pay some of his wages).
iron_stan 0 Posted August 15, 2013 yes pleasegood player
Thisisbabyish 0 Posted August 15, 2013 Off to Brom or Liverpool.Redmond is better.
Tetteys Jig 830 Posted August 15, 2013 Brom just got Vydra and Anelka, no need for more and Liverpool will probs look at bigger names.
Row D Seat 7 0 Posted August 15, 2013 WBA or Everton will get him. Would suit both. Not us. Funny as when he left Swansea for M.City last season I think everyone knew he was wasting at least a year of his career. I think someone gained several retweets on twitter around the time of the transfer by saying that Sinclair would probably be loaned to someone like Norwich in a years time. PortlandCanary 0 Posted August 15, 2013 Hmm...Interesting to imagine. I just don''t see a need for him. Surely our flanks are not the first areas on the list that need to be strengthened. He''s class though.Gylfi Sigurdsson would be me dream signing now. The Wolf needs a handler.
Jonzey 0 Posted August 15, 2013 If the deal was right then he''d be incredible as our number 10. He was dynamite for Swansea.

Militant Canary 0 Posted August 15, 2013 Never ever understood the hype around him. He''s just nowhere near as good as he''s billed to be and anybody who thinks otherwise are kidding themselves or have never watched him play - Swansea must have been laughing all the way to the back when they sold him for, what was it? £5 Million? £7 Million? And he promptly disappeared without a trace at Man City, as everyone who''s actually seen him play knew he would. That''s a no from me.
Thisisbabyish 0 Posted August 15, 2013 So West Brom have an untried kid and a bloke from china but doesn''t need him!?We have RVW, Hooper and Becchio and we do?He''s off to Brom or Liverpool move on.....zzzzz
smooth 114 Posted August 15, 2013 Militant I think I would say the comments you mention there would be exactly the case for eb and pilky. Which many on here think are top premiership class.Personally I like Sinclair, there is. A little bit of. The HUckerby-ness about him, picking the all up running at pace at defenders being very direct.I don''t think it will happen but I think he is a better player than eb and pilky. I have time for pilky and know we will get some good stuff from him but if he were to move he would be lost at a top club.
Tetteys Jig 830 Posted August 15, 2013 "the wolf needs a handler!" Love it!!Anyway, i wish i was his agent, but sadly i''m not. I don''t think he''s the ideal signng, just another on a growing list of players i think could ''do a job'' as ''the wolf''s handler!''Apparently Sinclair can play through the middle is just something i''ve been told as I too thought he was primarily a winger. Even if he was, could Snoddy, Pilks or Redmond move into the centre?I do agree, the jury''s out on him, but he''s got bags of potential hence why Man City got him in the first place. PortlandCanary 0 Posted August 15, 2013 If I was offered a consulting position at Hughton''s side, I''d be whispering "Sigurdsson, Sigurdsson, Sigurdsson, Pröpper,Pröpper,Pröpper" until security escorted me away. Sinclair would fit in with the Peligrini style and I would love to see him replace Nasri. Because Samir Nasri is a total c@ck.
Thisisbabyish 0 Posted August 15, 2013 Portland have you seen anything of Fer this season?Sigurdsson isn''t even going to come close to this guy. Definitely our best signing so Fer!! ;)

Spoke with him and RvW for a good long while.
Tetteys Jig 830 Posted August 15, 2013 Are Spurs even going to sell Sigurdsson? I''d obviously have him!If Redmond and Sinclair are the same, then why not have both! That would be terrifying for the opposition full backs! I reckon Pilkington could be converted to slot in behind the striker anyway.
PortlandCanary 0 Posted August 15, 2013 I don''t think he''s for sale. But we could always kidnap him and force him to play at gunpoint. I hear that is very common in the South American leagues.
Thisisbabyish 0 Posted August 15, 2013 I reckon he''s going to boss that trequartista position and make it his own he wasn''t give number 10 for no reason.
Tetteys Jig 830 Posted August 15, 2013 So if he does, a la Baptista at Sevilla, perhaps we''ll be in the market for another Centre mid or we''ll just stick with the 4 (Howson, Johnno, Tettey, Fox) we''ve got and leave Fer and Hoolahoop to play off the main man. That might suggest we only need a new defender if we don''t trust Ayala, and if we do, than our squad is complete!
Thisisbabyish 0 Posted August 15, 2013 I think Johnson - Howson - Fer are a perfect fit for the midfield and with Tettey as back up I think we''re pretty sound.Johnson - does the dirty work but has chipped in with a few goals pre season which is a bonus.Howson - great all round midfielder.Fer - that bit of quality and creativity we''ve been dying for.We don''t need to chop and change and upset people by bringing more in, quality not quantity. As you say a marquee defender such as Alderwiereld would be the cherry on the cake
smooth 114 Posted August 15, 2013 The only different players in our midfield are fer and Redmond (Olsson is too but listed as a left back). Otherwise it is he same midfield that struggled last season with the exception of Snodgrass. I still think we could add quality in to our midfield at the moment I still feel we have too many with fox and butterfield also on the books. I rate tettey and think over the season he could put pressure on JohnsonI do think fer is a massive improvement on what we have got and I wish he was available for the Everton game as our midfield will look so much different with him in the squad.I have seen Redmond play and I have been impressed, however. Sinclair is an exceptional talent, for a few seasons before his move to man city he proved it.I am looking forward to seeing Redmond play but I do hope new additions come in
Bill 1,788 Posted August 15, 2013 back in the same old rut''oh look, x is available (unwanted) so he ''could do a job for us''the player we have signed have been brought in for a specific purpose - and probably more important for their aptitude and suitability to what we are doing at the clubprice does not seem to have been a real problem either in relative terms so why do we constantly get these idiotic posts every time some player has fell out of favour elsewhereon that basis we should be signing Tortoise Bumble og
colneycanary 0 Posted August 15, 2013 West Brom are in advanced talks to sign him on loan for the season and the option to sign hiim on a perm deal at the end of the season. Would love him here though.
