kick it off 1,928 Posted August 17, 2013 Just got in through the door (long trip back to Derbyshire via birmingham).Sat in the River End today as was only tickets I could get. Happened to be sat next to two Everton fans who were total cocks. They were fine first half and kept their mouths shut, second half they started gobbing off, celebrating the goals, threatening to see me outside after the game etc... and the stewards were told and did nothing, then the stewards called the cops, we waited 20minutes for police - 4 of them turned up and... did nothing. So I watched 30minutes of the game sat on a bloody step because between 8 stewards and 4 police they couldnt eject two everton fans.... what is the point of rules if you can''t enforce them? Talk about ruining the game. Mr McNally will be receiving an email from me tomorrow!!Aside from that crap, thought it was a relatively entertaining game with both teams trying to attack but largely cancelling each other out. Long way to go but considering the personnel we had missing, I thought our lads played excellently.Thought Whittaker, Turner and Martin were excellent, The whole midfield put in a shift and Van Wolfy did well with limited service. The weak link for me today was Garrido. He didn''t have a nightmare game, but he was torn to shreds by their winger and played several dodgy passes that the rest of the team had to bail him out for. He did some good things too, but I think that the LB spot could be well and truly up for grabs after today. All in all, glad I made the trek (Left at 8am, got in at 10pm) - last season I only made WBA and Stoke, both away, due to work commitments, so it was nice to return home not feeling completely deflated, and not having been beaten!! William Darby 0 Posted August 17, 2013 I''d be inclined to put it in a letter imo. We''ve had club spin about general standing blah blah. But when it comes to away fans in home areas that causes a disturbance, the stewards and police do nothing about it. It would be interesting to see what McNally has to say other than first day of the season etc , training blah blah. After all if you were an aggressive sort and reacted, there would''ve been a full blown punch up (if you get what I mean).
RvWs 4 year contract 0 Posted August 17, 2013 There was an Everton fan (at least 1 maybe more...) in the Jarrold today. I sit in N block and everytime his side scored he went down into the concourse fist pumping...

Branston Pickle 3,598 Posted August 18, 2013 I felt for the poor lad who was ball boy in front of their fans, when they scored they acted like a real bunch of to55ers, grabbing at him, he looked a bit shaken (from the upper barclay) and ended up having to move up to the home fans. hazza9 0 Posted August 18, 2013 Yeah I see them Kick it off!! They the two who made a run for it a couple of minutes before the end of the game?? In total their were 5 stewards and 4 policemen and they did nothing. I understand they''ve got to deal with the situation in a controlled manner but they had 35 minutes to escort them out. Tony Cottee Woz Ere . . . 0 Posted August 18, 2013 How bloody wet can you get. The sad thing is at most grounds the home fans would have dealt with them swiftly. But at carrow road i''m sure all the fans just looked at their feet and prayed there wasn''t any trouble.
