On The Ball City: The 2013 Version

Well done. Hope it gets played on match day but the way the club is these days you''re more likely to get a letter from the lawyers alleging breach of trademark/copyright!

excellent stuffJust what we need pre match. The original is out dated. Get this played before games please. Get the crowd going instead of that 321 rubbish! Although they wont get rid of that as i think the club charge for people to do that ?

yep, they stiff the gormless £300/£250 per game for that bit of stupidity so I doubt the club will want to lose that earner

I''m surprised they don''t offer a ground ejection experience as well  -a seat (or two) near the away fans, a double warning by a steward then by a senior steward followed by being escorted down to the pitchside, marched around the pitch whilst the numpty with the mike cordinates the happy clappies in a chorus of ''cheerio cheerio'' the package wouldalso  include a signed letter from McNally banning you from Carrow Road (until the next home game), a signed hi-viz jacket from all the security staff and a photo of you being shoved out of a side gate, to be also featured in the next edition of  EDP£275 (inc vat) per person(and you are allowed back into the ground to watch the game)

Absolutely spot on you are there mate. ''In The Aeroplane...'' is one of my favourite albums and I do love the angst Mangum puts into every vocal he sings. I did feel this reworking was quite Frank Turner esque in terms of both the chord progression and tempo change....I have to salute you for hitting the nail on the head. I didn''t expect this to take off in the way that it has- it''d be a real honour to hear it at Carrow Road.

What can I say that hasn''t been said already. Wonderful effort young man. I will certainly be downloading it if my technophobe brain allows, and playing it to my young son......... Constantly!!

Agre with all the support for this, I also agree with City first, singing Kick it off slower and with some proper melody would be far more emotional and inspiring than barking it out like a North Korean news reader.

Lets get it playing at FCR Mr McNally!

Absolutely fantastic, if you could make this available for download somehow that would be great! I''ll post it around to get some views, but this was just brilliant!

Awesome! Genuinely the best football related song i''ve ever heard. Even better than ''Pass and Move (It''s the Liverpool Groove)''!!

Fantastic effort mate. I seriously hope the club consider playing it tomorrow.

Following this overwhelming and quite unexpected reaction to my version of OTBC, I have created a petition in an attempt to put the wheels in motion to getting it played at Carrow Road. I hope those of you who have backed me thus far will sign, get your mates to sign- and we can have back our spine-tingling rendition of OTBC from the days of old.

Thanks so much.

If that was you, I''ve given you a fiver :-)Frank Turner''s gone a bit off the boil though, not keen on the new album at all.  Much preferred "England Keep My Bones". Anyway, good luck with this.  I always wanted to hear a power-pop version of On The Ball City a la Weezer''s "No One Else", but I like your version plenty.

Isaac, thats a terrific effort well done, love your version.

James & Isaac my son lives in York, he studied at YSJ & loves the place so much he stayed on after finishing, seems there are a few canaries living in York, perhaps you should all meet up

Hi Funny old gameI''m from York originally and love living here. Long story why I support Norwich but Ive supported them since the age of 8 which is about 30 years! I am up early today to get to Carrow Road (which I try to do when ever possible).Love the idea of meeting up if there are other NC fans in York.

A reasonable effort, better than some, but it doesn''t really do it for me. Also don''t like the changes to the words, and it sounds like you''re singing Scrummage, not Scrimmage as it should be. I''d be sad if they played your version at Carrow Road, I''d be overjoyed to hear them play the 1950''s version. You might not like to hear it but there you go, it''s my honest feedback.OTBC.

I like the 50s song too, but there''s nobody putting themselves up there to cover it in a modern version.

Isaac has ''walked the talk'' and his version has a fairly up-to-date vibe to it... I''ve signed his petition, and I really hope it gets played. Would be interesting to hear an electro/percussive version too.

if I compare it to this, the tune is so much better and it sounds as it should sound at 2012.

I dont know if people mean 1950 version of song as this?

In my opinion that is better what we sing now, but still I would take Isaac''s version.

It just have that "lets sign together" tune from start to end. I woudln''t touch lyrics thought as that will always be hard for the fans ^^ even if new lyrics would be better.

It is not perfect, but right way to go in my opinion and it would sound amazing if we would get +10k of our fans sing it around the CR :)
