Don''t p**s about and let other clubs in. Get the lad now. He''d be great down the right side of the midfield

no1canary 0 Posted May 23, 2005 while he''s at it, get Otsemobor aswell!
westoncanary. 0 Posted May 23, 2005 I agree. Saw him a couple of seasons ago, he would add some width down that side, and you know he would play his heart out for us and not be someone here for a pay day.
Dean Coneys boots 1,531 Posted May 23, 2005 And Otsemebor would be good cover at right back
Anderz 0 Posted May 23, 2005 DDiM: you beat me to it, I was just coming on here to check and see if anyone had posted about Partridge being released and lo and behold, you''ve already written about it. Therefore I shall merely add my 2 pence worth here rather than start a new topic. I think Richie Partridge would be the kind of player we should be looking at, i.e. peripheral players at Premiership teams who need a break in football. At the very least we should look at giving him a prolonged trial to see what he can do. Perhaps also have a look at Jon Otsemobor for the right back position. Mook 0 Posted May 23, 2005 A "real" winger, who can dribble, pass and cross???!Surely you jest. There''s bound to be a striker on the market who we can buy and play out of position, surely? Or perhaps a young reserve striker who we can destroy the confidence of by playing out of position? Ouch. I am feeling bitter today.
3pmkickoff 0 Posted May 23, 2005 This would be the same Partridge who is injury prone, started well as Coventry but then went downhill as the side went to near relegation
TheMarshmallowMan 0 Posted May 23, 2005 I agree, two young, capable players like Partridge and Osemobor would fit nicely into our team who have a distinct lack of players for those positions.
Canary Poirot 1 Posted May 24, 2005 I don''t know where everyone has suddenly got this idea that Patridge is class. I was at the Coventry Norwich game when he scored that belting goal, and to be honest, apart from the goal he did absolutely nothing in the match to suggest he was anything other than average. And just for the record, a certain Mr. McVeigh blasted an even better long range shot in that same game, in the 90th minute if my memory is correct. And after Patridge''s loan spell, he''s hardly set the footballing world on fire. I''d rather we looked at players in the lower leagues who are working their way up, rather than players who are working their way down. Eastwood at Southend springs to mind.I say, next please. Saint Canary 0 Posted May 24, 2005 I know very little about the guy to comment too much but it is worrying that he is soon to 25 years old and has only made 40 appearances. He should be getting to his peak

Steve Sidwell didn''t play much at Arsenal......

So why hasn''t he gone on loan more often?I''m am by no means saying we should not sign as I have not seen much of him and really have no opinion. I am merely playing Devil''s Advocate.
