rich 0 Posted May 23, 2005 just been released by fulham, good ball winning midfielderwho would still have a season or two left in him. He andsafri would work well together and he could free upsafri to do a bit more playmaking.
alex_ncfc 686 Posted May 23, 2005 I remember us trying to sign him about 10 years ago How old is he now? I don''t know much about him to be honest.

Dame to Blame 108 Posted May 23, 2005 I doubt we could afford his high wage demands , premier bound i''m afraid maybe new boys wigan or sunderland thats the price we will pay for dropping out of the prem.
DumbleDelia is Magic 0 Posted May 23, 2005 Worth a look IMO. We need midfield recruits and Clark could do a job for us in the 1st Div. Could we afford his wages though? He''s been in the Prem for a while
no1canary 0 Posted May 23, 2005 i thought that too when i saw it on breaking news on sky sports news. but then again, i think we should go for most released prem players.
AJ 1,359 Posted May 24, 2005 we could actually do with some back-up. Remember this season, the injury crisis, we basically had no mid-field
John Boubepo 0 Posted May 24, 2005 He''s 31 and would be an excellent addition to our midfield for the next 2 seasons
ZLF 335 Posted May 25, 2005
He''s 31 and would be an excellent addition to our midfield for the next 2 seasons
Only 31 - I would have put 4+ years on that. If he is only 31 he has to be worth a look - played champs football and has an impact in a way holty no longer would; gives us experience and options in our weakest area of the pitch but is he too similar to safri? His wages would be an issue but if no one else came in then we may have a chance, but I cant see one of the promoted clubs not signing him if no one else does. Saint Canary 0 Posted May 25, 2005 In my opinion we are desperate for midfielders. Only 3 out and out midfielders in our squad to my mind with Francis looking likely to leave. The rest of our midfield is made up players not in their prefered position. Bearing in mind our midfield problem, Clarke would be perfect for us if we can persuade him to come him under out wage structure. He offers far more in midfield than Holt does as he gets up and down the pitch while actually passing and tackling. Although Worthy would have to resist the temptation to play him anywhere other than midfield.
