Can deals be fully 100% agreed and then not announced for a few days?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering while we all get ourselves wound up at our lack of strikers, could the replacements already be done deals and we''re just waiting for the right moment to unveil them? Maybe go for the classic PR stunt of a multi unveil like Hucks, Crouch and Harper were all them years ago?

Imagine that, Fer, Hooper, Toivonen, Olsson, N''Doye and Alderwiereld all presented to the press as Norwich signings on Friday, a calm Hughton and DmcN stating the deals had be sewn up long ago for a combined £30m!

They can be announced whenever the club is ready.

The likelihood of not a single paper or media source not hearing even a snippet about it is highly unlikely in this day and age though

Well Carlo Nash has been signed for a few days as he has tweeted saying he is in Austria with the rest of the players! Possibly they are waiting for a 2nd signing to announce him with, or the club are just to worried to disappoint the fans with the breaking news of an "underwhelming signing"!

It can happen and would be amazing for us to do that but we''ll see. Got a feeling we will announce Olsson today and that is it. Possibly an outside chance with Toivonen. Fer hasn''t come to the club to look around yet and Alderwiereld is meeting with us this week. Hooper and any other striker I''m not really sure whats going on.

The only people getting themselves worked up are pant wetters that seem to expect you do one deal at a time first buying players in and then selling players off and completing everything within the first 5 days of the transfer window.

But on your point I think the reality of modern day football is most news is available on relatively real time basis with social media, agents etc.

The Nash thing is wierd! There''s not a single story confirming his arrival anywhere and yet he is tweeting as if he''s a confirmed Norwich player

I genuinly don''t understand, if Nash is going to be the Lee Camp of this season, then why did we not just keep Lee Camp?? seems Hull think he''s still adaquate back up

"Ah, got it, he must be on trial in Austria."

Well, expect a thread saying how this would never have happened had Lambert/Culverhouse still been the dream team, that they''d have looked into his character, that he''s better suited to 1p5wich, etc. etc.

Camp wanted more games i think. We didn''t want him as second choice like he wanted. He had that while Ruddy was injured and credit to him he played a couple of games in the premiership. He''ll more likely see football at Hull as their number 2 than with us at number 3.

Camp was released by Forest due to his wage demands. He will have been on a lot more than Nash, and unlike Nash he won''t have been happy to sit 2nd/3rd choice for another season.

from what I have understood from reading many posts and tweets is that Nash will also play a part in the coaching set up.

He already has some of his coaching badges and this move is the next step as he can be a 3rd choice but also get more coaching under his belt.

hmmm fair enough. The days of us actually wanting Lee Camp as our number one feel like a lifetime ago. It''s crazy how we have progressed so dramatically!
