Leroy Fer Possible Medical - BBC

Recommended Posts

Tweet from FC Twente account:To our English followers: currently in Norwich for a medical.
That''s a fan site, although a surprisingly popular one. The bio says ''Twente Online is een fansite, niet de officiƫle clubsite'' - even without speaking Dutch I think I can work out what that means [;)]
Well, that''s Twitter for you.  Girls will be boys and boys will be girls, or whatever it was by the Kinks.  Still, why would they make that up?

If the Pinkun is reporting he is in the city for a medical it''s looking odds on now. The major obstacle will be him actually passing the medical if he failed one at Everton in January.

I imagine McNally and Co. are far too stringent to have gone this far down the line without finding out exactly why he supposedly failed that medical and if it would be a problem.

Got a really good feeling about this player. Will hopefully cut out the goals we conceded last year by players just powering through our CM (Bale etc).

Yep, the pinkun is just saying ''rumours of''.

Funny that the pinkun with at least three dedicated sports journalists can''t send one of them up to Norwich Airport after checking the flight arrivals. Might be a wild goose chase but at this time of the year what else do they have to do?

Calm down and let these things run there course, nothing to be achieved by plane spotting.

Seems to be all coming together nicely fingers crossed.

Lets hope Fer signs up and goes out with something to prove to Everton on the opening day.

What a good time to support Norwich

Before we count our chickens... I just read this on Skysports.com:When asked about Norwich signing Fer, his agent Rob Jansen told Tubantia: "There are actually several offers for Fer."

Woah woah woah, that sounds a bit too much like journalism to me. What has ever been wrong with just waiting for the club to feed you the story, kicking back and enjoying a nice cup of tea - it''s cosy that way.

LF is going to have a medical at NCFC today. This means it is an exciting day for the FC Twente player, because he saw a move to Everton during the winter break down because of a knee injury

We need to be giving long contracts to this quality of player- if they shine like we hope they will they will be tough to hold on to after a year or two so we are really keeping up the value of the player. The next logical step in our evolution is to be a stepping stone club for a few seasons.

The article in the Telegraaf (the best-selling paper in the Netherlands) says that FC Twente and Norwich have reached agreement on the transfer.

It adds that we''ve merely ''shown interest'' in Toivonen and Alderweireld.

This would be a huge signing if we can get it tied up, just as big as RVW. If it''s towards the ā‚¬5m end of the ā‚¬5m-ā‚¬8m price quoted in the press, then it''s an absolute bargain too.

Get him signed up!
