Terry Gibson will tell on Talksport this afternoon how he thinks British clubs are paying over the odds for La Liga players. May well be worth listening to !!!!!!!

[;)]
It may be beyond your comprehension but it may be that the same principles apply regarding agents, financial corruption etc, bearing in mind that we may pay 8.5m plus extortionate wages for an ageing journeyman.......

Extortinate wages being roughly equal the amount Grant Holt and Chris Martin combined were being paid.

If you are going to talk hyperbole, try and have it at least grounded in fact.

So you must be really unhappy with the higher wages of Olson then - who has achieved little more than a relegation in his career so far...

What Bethnal said! Extortionate wages are for the likes of Chopra & Bullard from little clubs like 1p5wich or in general terms high paid players not even making the bench at the larger clubs.
...perhaps they are moving to Spain as they find their own league too easy?!
End of thread.

Says he doesn''t want to leave Juve - he will almost certainly be forced out as there really isn''t room for him and all their other forward players.

Glad we were declined as only scores 1 in every three games on average. With Hughton''s negative drawing style he wouldn''t manage that in the Prem IMO.

So you know for a fact what Grant Holt and Chris Martin were paid? And you know for a fact how much Quag would have been paid?
If so, please share, would love some ''grounded facts''.
Perhaps some here actually know the details of what a player will have in his contract before we even try to sign him. Clairvoyance obviously exists.

Paul Moy, perhaps we should get Cody back to spearhead our attack?

I think he would be worth it in all honesty, if anyone has any viable alternatives that have his quality and experience at the top level of Italian (or Amy other equivilant league) then feel free to throw their names into the hat... Pretty sure we already snapped up one in the form of RVW.

Anyway I was with an Italian lad recently who if into his football and funnily enough had heard of Norwich and Holt... Cut a story short he impressed we were linked with him and said he was known for scoring ''beautiful goals''

Champions League Experience

International Experience (For Italy No Less)

An all around QUALITY player (benneficial to both the squad and youth development, even RVW''s)

For 1/3 of the fee Villa paid for Darren Bent?

This is 2013, and we''re a mid-table premier league club - get used to these figures being touted!

Yes he does, they are obliged to honour his contract if he doesn''t want to leave. He is contracted to June 2015.

It depends if he wants to ever get a game: he can stay at Juve and never play, or move (to any number of sides who would match his salary)) and get regular game time - if he''d be ok settling for the former (as some payers do) he clearly isn''t a player we''d want.

If he doesn''t want to sign for us it''s up to him and totally his decision, you can''t hold it against him.

Really don''t know why we need to be picking the bones out of this one though.

We really need something concrete regarding transfers to stop everyone repeating themselves on dead threads like this one
