Fulham - the new QPR

Recommended Posts

Is anyone else seeing this as a possibility?, Jol will be under immediate pressure and the first to go should the new owner panic or just intending to ''do a QPR'' and create some sort of upmarket football club.

Players and agents will be well aware of the new owners wealth, some will be demanding pay increases, some will be resentful at not getting a pay increase and as is usual now agents will tout players at inflated wages and signing bonuses.

An observation  of foreign owners in the sport would suggest that certain owners intentionally disconnect a club from its supporters and heritage and that others fail when attempting to apply management style from a foreign system (franchises)

I doubt that any corporate suit from marketing has ever considered the possibility of a ''giant killing'', the very same thing that us supporters want from the game (but obviously not a Luton)

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/fulham-submit-planning-application-to-increase-craven-cottage-capacity-6288607.htmlThe planning application is to increase the capacity of the stadium.  The new stand doesn''t go over the Thames but does open up the Thames walkway. The guy that has bought Fulham is one of the richest people in the world.  He''s highly unlikely to want to waste time making a few quid by selling Craven Cottage.  As a previous poster has said, Fulham is more likely to become the new Chelsea rather than the new QPR.

I would add that the owners NFL team is regarded as one of the leagues worst. It''s one of the reasons that he''s considering moving the whole franchise to London.
