chicken 0 Posted June 21, 2013 Just seen on the sky sports footy paper round up bit that Hull are supposedly in advanced talks with Austin - the fee believed to be around £4million.If that is the case, that is a risk well worth taking in my books. Still only 23 too.
Tak 0 Posted June 21, 2013 I saw something (can''t remember which paper was saying it) that they had given up on Austin because Burnley want £7m(!) and Hull are now looking at Mboyo. I''m not convinced about Austin, seems a very similar style of player to Becchio. Would prefer Norwich to bring in a striker with some pace.
AJ 1,218 Posted June 21, 2013 With a marquee signing like RVW, I think we need another big name striker to partner him. I''m not sure untested championship strikers are good enough for us now - we already have Becchio in that mould.
Rolf Harris 31 Posted June 21, 2013 He only has a year left on his contract so 4 million is about the right price and tbh getting too many European imports might not be that great.
Tetteys Jig 830 Posted June 21, 2013 I''d rather someone with more pace as the other striker. We already have Holt and Becchio that are similar to Austin
splutcho 173 Posted June 21, 2013 They''ll be getting relegated then.
