Thirsty Lizard 3,161 Posted May 4, 2013 In amongst the welter of doom laden posts and inquests and recriminations I''ve just got to take time to say congratulations to Ryan Bennett on his performance today. All week we''ve been hearing about how brilliant Benteke is - how he''s a beast - how only Messi and Ronaldo have scored more League goals in Europe in 2013 etc, etc.Fact is that Bennett totally had him in his pocket today and dominated him from start to finish in the air which is supposedly Benteke''s biggest asset. Well played Ryan - hope you can do the same to Lukaku next week.
morty 0 Posted May 4, 2013 I am pleased for him, he deserved his MOTM today, he''s taken his chance well.
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted May 4, 2013 He has grown in stature these last few games from the raw and naive player we saw at the end of last season.
ron obvious 1,502 Posted May 4, 2013 He had a great game today. Howson played well. In fact the whole team played well.we just don''t create enough, & don''t convert enough of the few we do make.

GJP 79 Posted May 4, 2013 Thought he played well today - apart from one or two slips. Would have said that Bassong was more the reason for keeping Benteke out of it though.
