This is not intended to critisize any individuals, more looking at how the team has been set up.The fact that only one player got 100% since christmas as opposed to six getting 100% during the unbeaten run suggests there has been a lot of chopping and changing, and an unsettled side, has contributed to our downfall.

Confidence. For me it started to go with Ruddy''s injury. Although we managed a few results with Bunn in goal, we let in nine goals in five games (including League Cup) -average 1.8 per game- in the unbeaten  run when Bunn took charge between the sticks, compared to seven goals in six games -average 1.12- when Ruddy was in goal. Ruddy''s better average would have seen 1-0 losses and 1-1 draws translate into many more points and kept the confidence up.

I also think playing Grant Holt was sometimes like starting a game with ten men.

The gradual change from attacking football to Hughton''s defensive dross. The fact the right/left backs don''t have a license to go forward and over lap the midfield. The midfield told to sit a lot deeper.Tettey , Whittaker and Ruddy got injured. Then hughton doesn''t change a team even when we go a whole game without a shot on target.I could go on.............

Ruddy for me is the key change. His injury and loss from the side slowly drained confidence as we leaked more and more goals.

Which is why his failure to return to the side even though he is clearly fit is beyond belief and something we have the right to know what the hell is going on!

Losing Ruddy changed...said it before, look at when Gunny Broke his ankle in 1995, or did his back in 1991...in 1991 it was Fleckys goal against wimbledon that kept us up, in 1995 we were screwed with Marshall in goal.A world class keeper simply cannot be replaced, unless its by another world class one.. Bunn is a good goalkeeper.. but he isn''t Ruddy... and thats why we are in the mire...

Losing Ruddy made a difference of course but doesn''t explain why our defence is letting a player like Agbonlahor run half way down the pitch without even getting a tackle in.
