Tetteys Jig 830 Posted May 6, 2013 Let''s face it, it''s win or bust with that one, especially if Wigan do the business tomorrow night. With Southampton playing Sunderland, we really need to win to guarantee being above either of them. Really tense now.1. Bring Ruddy back ffs! He is our best keeper and would have saved the first goal vs Villa2. Be bold and go for the first goal. The first goal will be crucial.3. Final chance for Holt. There is no one in our team who will be more up for this game, you saw the way he celebrated his penalty, he will be chomping at the bit to win this one.4. Whittaker in at right back, Garrido left back. Our unbeaten run was when these two played and actually got forward, allowing our midfield to help cover and us to push up, taking the pressure off the centre backs.5. Snoddy, Pilks and Bennett in behind Holt. We need to show directness and these three are as direct as we can get.6. Bassong and Turner. Allied with Ruddy, that trio is unstoppable. Lukaku will be tough to stop, but they are our best chance.7. Johnno and Tettey. Not ideal, but our most consistent performers at centre mid.8. Play ugly. Long balls and high lines and pressure on the goalkeeper.9. Call in the favour from Steve Clarke he owes Hughton. Getting desparate now!

birchfest 397 Posted May 6, 2013 Just create something with the possesion we seem to be able to have... Becchio with Holt for me, Holt drifts to the wings looking for the ball because he doesnt get the service, so let him do that and give becchio orders to stay central. Turner has to start if he is fit as does Ruddy! And if it isnt working then we need to make a change early, no hanging around hoping that maybe it might come good, no... Bennet on the bench? throw him on... Pilks? Throw him on. We have to take the game to them, show them no respect. Screw the beautiful flowing football, lets stoke it , get men in the box and get it in there!

Mello Yello 2,278 Posted May 6, 2013 We will set out our stall.......and hope that we can stall them...... Joking aside..... We have to go for it, straight from the off and get the crowd going.....Boss the midfield and put them on the rack.....It''s 90+ minutes that will decide our destiny.....I''d rather go out with a bang than a limp-wristed surrender. Please no slappy sloppy gimmicks attached to my seat.....Just leave it to the Local''s Vocal''s.....

Kangaroo Court 0 Posted May 6, 2013 4-2-3-1? OP, you''re not listening to our ''expert'' fans. Nothing less than the diamond formation with Hoolahan at the tip will suffice. After all, it worked in the Championship.
