No Bassong? despite being player of the season?
Right. Okay. [:#]
I thought we all assumed Butterfield wasn''t in 25 man squad?

Why''s he suddenly appeared?
Good point actually. He''s 22 so is he under the age limit? (Cant remember what age they start counting against our squad limit)

As he''s not even in the squad, I''m guessing he may have a knock. He''s played through the pain barrier at various times this season, why risk him in what is essentially a dead rubber game with nothing on the line if indeed he is carrying a niggle?

Its under 21 KIO, not sure when the cut off is (maybe 30th August?) but almost certain he wouldn''t make the squad that way.

And Stig, what on earth do you mean? Whats being POTS go to do with Bassong''s absence? He''s started every game he''s been fit enough to. He''s clearly been carrying an injury and probably needed a game or two off weeks ago. We''re safe, no point putting him through another 90 mins of pain.

I thought it had been said that Bassong had been playing with a knock, this game isnt worth him aggrivating it further, let the rehab begin already for next season.Very excited at the prospect of Butterfeild getting some game time and an indication that he has a future here for anyone that has suggested otherwise. Pleased for the lad its been a long long season of recovery for someone early in their carrer, for him the pre-season push for first time starts now if he gets on. Still remember alot of articals (and this was before we signed him) harping on about how he has a Scholes look about him with his football.. exciting prospect if he can regain his form!

It was Gazza he was compared to I thought birchfest.

Still confused as to why he''s not made the bench before. He''s been back here (and fit) since February hasn''t he?

That doesn''t really make sense iamlonelyGuy. You could be right, but whats the point in saying under 21s, when you get 7 months of 22 year olds being eligible to qualify as u21s when the season starts?

An under-21 player is defined as being under 21 on the 1st of January the year the season begins. So 21 at the start of last year.

I think.

Again we''re showing what we can do when we''re allowed to attack. Even the commentator is saying we are looking by far the better side.......haha.. and we score !!!  Please learn Mr Hughton !!

1-1.Well, that didn''t last long. Johnson caught daydreaming as Rodwell drifts into the box to score.

Half time . 1-1.Some really good attacking play from the lads there. Shame they lost their concentration for a few minutes after they scored. The Etihad is like a morgue.

Are you aware that Hughton is actually managing today?

Halsey is having a poor game as ref, although with it being his last I can''t see that he''ll give a damn about that. How the lino then missed the handball for the 2nd pen shout I will never know, especially after the Arsenal game where apparently lino''s can see 30 yards away with no problem...

Disgusting foul by Milner on Garrido too.  Blatant yellow card offence.
