Most improved players

Who have not only raised the bar, but have almost jumped over it?

 

There are 2 who in my opinion have grown in stature out of all recognition - Ryan Bennett and Jonny Howson - they are now what I would consider "commanding" performers.

 

These were both "fringe" players who took their opportunity (albeit, not instantaneously) and have now "put their names" on the team sheet.

Howson was great last season, just started this one with a less spectacular job. When he gets that consistency in his game he''ll be a huge player for us.

I''d agree with Bennett. Training with Seb/Turner and against Holty would aid in the development of any young defender that''s for sure. Glad he got a chance to show his stuff recently.

Also adding BJ, most of his passes go to yellow shirts now.

Bennett is starting to show signs of what he''s capable of justifying why we spent what? Around £3m for him.

I think Russ Martin has improved greatly at RB. Thought he was fantastic at CB last season, but looked a little vulnerable at RB, especially against pace. Really stepped up to the plate this year.

Agree with Martin. No fuss and done his job. Improving year on year.

Turner, Johnson and both Bennets. All quality players and have improved no end. Although I would like to have seen more of Elliott.
