dhickl 0 Posted May 22, 2013 Interesting to see that Norwich have a higher net spend on transfers than West Brom, Tottenham, Fulham, Swansea, Wigan, Everton, Reading, Newcastle and Arsenal over the last 5 yearshttp://transferleague.co.uk/league-tables/transfer-league-table-last-five-seasons.htmlAlthough, gross, only Reading have spent less - but not surprising as we were in League 1 for some of that. Vazzza 62 Posted May 22, 2013 I think what this shows more than anything else is we just simply do not get transfer fees for our players when we decide to get rid. We literally just give players away. What this says about out team over the last 5 years I''ll let you decide...Now we are getting to the point where our players do have resale value, we no longer need to sell. Bethnal Yellow and Green 1,557 Posted May 22, 2013 That website really isn''t worth the bandwidth - if you look at how they get the figures it is hugely inaccurate, has Pilkington down as a free transfer and undisclosed fees aren''t counted towards the total. The idea of a transfer fee where one club gives another a lump of cash for a player is something that only exists in the world of computer games and the press - most transfers are made of clauses around apperances, goals, international caps etc. and are paid in installments over the length of a players contract.
