Brum fans reject Rat Boy...good for them!

Recommended Posts

I have to say I was delighted to learn of the rejection of Bowyer by Birmingham City fans. Admittedly, it was probably only a minority of their fans, but hats off to them all the same. Bruce once again did himself no favours, by expressing his "disgust" at those fans who said they didnt want a toe-rag like Bowyer near their place. Bruce was quoted as saying:"I can''t believe something like this has cost us a great player". Chairman and porn magnate David Sullivan claimed he was "devastated" to miss out on signing Rat Boy. Incidentally, take a look at today''s Daily Mirror for an excellent piece by Brian Reade on this particular subject. Also there''s a brilliant cartoon of a rat-like Bowyer accompanying the article. Sorry that this is not an NCFC related topic but it''s very difficult at present to find anything to discuss about our club.

good for them thou, and totally agree aswell.

What bowyer and dyer did was a disgrace, and they both got off lightly. Maybe the idea fo being able to be charged for assult and that maybe a good idea to stop things like this in the future.

The fans should be praised for their reaction. How often do you hear the phrase:

"There''s more to life than football" ??

Surely this is the perfect example of this. Ok, Bowyer would probably improve the team. But would you want him in your team??? Too often teams bring in players who are obvious trouble, I i have no pity for them when it goes wrong. Thats where the hard-workin'' stance of Norwich and Worthy should be applauded.

Newcastle are the perfect example of a club with no morals, if you just look at the people they have at the club, from top to the bottom

Souness - Brought in to sort things out, but how many disrepute charges has he been on already?

Robert - On his way out now, but surely a decent scout would find out he''s outspoken

Dyer - Was in trouble at Ipswich, so they take him to the clubbing capital of the UK?!

Bramble - Are you surprised when you see him in trouble??

totally agree!

Its about time some football clubs realise that they are run for the fans and have a big voice in what happens to their club and not shareholders etc. If sum of these owner were true supporters of their clubs ( aka Delia) they would applaud and take note, its not the case of win at all cost and if the guy ever plays again it will be a day too soon, hes a thug and a bully and if he wernt a pro footballer the only trophy he would have is an ASBO!

Fan power works, if its channelled in the right way.

I only support two teams ..................Norwich and anyone playing ips!"$h

According to Ceefax Saturday night, although Bruce was ''shocked'' at the reaction of a ''section of the fans'' - he is now going to have another go at signing Bowyer.

So much for fan power.

Yet they don''t make a murmur over signing a player for more than he cost Arsenal, has been in jail, displayed some reckless behaviour in the past and was lucky not to hit a human being.
