Arsenal vs Norwich unofficial official match day thread

Recommended Posts

Hallo all, feels like a while since the last game - but maybe that''s because I''ve been trying to forget some of our recent performances!

Hoolahan makes us tick, says Huuutuun, tick so well, in fact, he''s not set up nor scored a goal for several months. Hmm...

Weirdly Ruddy is reported as having a hip injury (first I''ve hard of that?!) so misses out, but Bunn returns;

Bunn; R.Martin, Bassong, Turner, Whittaker; Johnson, Howson, Snodgrass, E.Bennett; Kamara, Holt (C).

Garrido dropped? He hasn''t been playing so well recently. Howson starts ahead of Tettey, but Holt starts up top with Kamara.

4-4-1-1?

I am too, Garrido has been poor at times in recent weeks, so nice to show that he''s not an instant starter. Whitts has had to buy his time, hopefully he''ll put in a good shift today

Interesting line up!

Could be 4-4-2 with Johnson LM, or it could be 4-5-1/4-3-3, so we will get to see what Kamara has on the wings.

Also happy to see Whittaker back in

Subs: Camp; Jackson, Fox, E.Bennett, Garrido, Becchio, R.Bennett.

I would imagine it''s a 4-5-1

Bunn

Martin Turner Seb Whitts

Snoddy Tettey Johnson Kamara

Howson

Holt

Possibly swap Kamara and Howson

Kamara actually stated before he came here his usual position was on the right as part of a 3 man attack. So am Guessing Holt on his own up front, in a 4-5-1 formation, Kamara wide right.

More interestingly though,No Hoolahan on the bench - surprised about that, must be an injury?

No Pilkington either, as I suspected

Much different line up from Hoots. And if us fans can''t figure it out yet then hopefully it throws Wenger a lot.:-)

You might be right Morty, like this;

-----------Howson-Tettey-Johnson----------

Snoddy----------------------------------Kamara

-----------------------Holt---------------------------

Kamara used to play wide left in MLS, but I''m sure he won''t mind either. Would be nice for both wingers to switch and look dangerous on both wings anyway!

Bunn''s made a fairly sharpish recovery then!

Wes must be injured if dropped from the squad completely.

Hopefully Pilks will be back for Reading, wouldn''t be surprised to see him play U21''s on Monday

Agreed on Wes, but nice to see Bunn back, obviously just came off as a precaution last weekend. Nice to see Whitts and Tettey back again too, and Holt needs to put in a shift today.

Pilks can''t be far away now, surely!

I transcribe it as a 4-3-3 more than a 4-5-1, but both make logical sense out of the team he''s selected.

Surprised to see Garrido dropped, and Wes must have an injury. But i''m glad to see Whittaker and Tettey back.

Maybe i''d of gone for Fox over Howson? I''m intrigued to see how well Kei does out on the wing, Benno can count himself unlucky to be dropped after 2 assists last time out, but he''ll probably replace Kei later in the game.

Either way it''s a more attacking formation, which will either open us up to concede or we''ll attack well ourselves. I guess this match out of any is to take a risk?

Feeling optimistic for this one, OTBC!

We had our application returned yesterday from Royal mail because some idiot mistook Norwich for Norway so it ended up somewhere in Scandinavia so we had no chance in getting our tickets !
Really wish I had got tickets in the ballot now[:(]
Mr Hughton has faced Arsenal twice in his career, interestingly winning both games 1-0.

Blimey Yoda, a bit of a massive mistake!

And agreed, if Hoolahoop wasn''t injured, he''d still be on the bench at least
