The Voice Of Reason 0 Posted March 20, 2013 I''ve just noticed the fixtures next weekend 30/3/13.Most of the teams below us have pretty nasty games to the higher placed sides (top 7)It would be a really good time to beat Wigan.Sunderland v Man Utd 12:45 Arsenal v Reading 15:00 Man City v Newcastle 15:00Southampton v Chelsea 15:00 Swansea v Tottenham 15:00 West Ham v West Brom 15:00 Wigan v Norwich 15:00 Everton v Stoke 17:30 Sunday 31st March 2013Aston Villa v Liverpool 13:30 Monday 1st April 2013Fulham v QPR 20:00 I know it''s 10 days away but just bored with international breaks. Mister Chops 7 Posted March 20, 2013 Our form away from home against the teams in the bottom reaches has been extremely consistent: QPR 0-0 Reading 0-0 Southampton 1-1 Aston Villa 1-1 The trend points to a 1-1 draw given Wigan score and concede a few. ca 1 Posted March 20, 2013 Sunderland v Man Utd 1-2 Arsenal v Reading 3-0 Man City v Newcastle 2-0Southampton v Chelsea 1-2 West Ham v West Brom 1-1Wigan v Norwich 1-2 Aston Villa v Liverpool 1-2 Fulham v QPR 2-13 pts against Wigan and if the above results go our way, we''ll be very close to the finishing line. Highland Canary 78 Posted March 20, 2013 Sunderland Reading Newcastle Southampton Villa - all to loseWest Ham Wigan Norwich - to drawQPR to win
Gingerpele 0 Posted March 20, 2013 Draw seems like the only possible result against Wigan, and with those fixtures I can''t see Reading, Newcastle, Southampton, West Ham or Stoke winning. West Ham & Stoke could get draws, Villa you never know but Liverpool need to win. And Fulham vs QPR will depend on who performs better out of Berbatov and Remy. Bill 1,788 Posted March 20, 2013 More importantly for us Swansea have Spurs where they could easily miss out on all three points Stoke are away at Everton so there''s eevry chance they will also come away empty handed Which just leaves Fulham who have QPR at home, where with QPR''s ability to pull off a few surprises there is a good chance they''ll nick a point if not the whole three (with any luck) If we can get the win at Wigan it sets us up for a ''six pointer'' against Swansea the week after ... and a chance for 9th spot (albeit equal 9th)
crabbycanary 2 Posted March 21, 2013 Well said City 1st.There is a chance that if all results go our way next weekend, that will then end the ''relegation fear'' posts once and for all, and Elvis has just delivered my papers.
Number 9 0 Posted March 21, 2013 Next few weeks will be interesting, the bottom of the table is so tight. At the moment the bottom looks like three down out of four, with us well clear, if we play like we did at Sunderland we should beat Wigan.
pete 371 Posted March 21, 2013 Fulham''s animosity to QPR may not be widely known but losing to QPR will seriously piss off their supporters, they would love to see them gone.
chicken 0 Posted March 21, 2013 If we win and QPR and Reading loose then the reality is we will be 14 points clear of them and 10 of Wigan. With 21 points and 7 games Reading and QPR would require 5 wins at least. Wigan would still have eight games left but would need four wins (like QPR and Reading need now).Like I said, the bottom six teams or so really cannot afford to lose or even draw really. Draws will only help Wigan at this point - it will not be enough for QPR and Reading.Lets just see how it goes though. I''d like my prediction of the next three sets of fixtures (four for Wigan) will really determine it all.
