Following the Ipswich blueprint

Recommended Posts

At a time when the French, Belgians, Africans and South Americans appear to be the foreign players ''in vogue'', there is a touch of irony that Norwich could potentially be going down the Ipswich route of ''double Dutch''.

35 years ago, Frans Thijssen and Arnols Muhren were an integral part of Ipswich''s most successful period ever. It can only be hoped that van Wolfswinkel and possibly van Ginkel will be contributing to Norwich City''s most successful years in the future.

Anyone care to guess which PL team currently have the most players from the Netherlands on their books?

Maybe we shouldn''t sign anybody from holland after all because I could handle being compared to that shower of dung.

Have they ever had any British born players? Maybe we should look into our future transfer policy bearing in mind the nationality of previous ipsh1t players to ensure we don''t end up like them.

So glad you pointed this out before it went too far and our supporters started turning up with 6 thumbs on each hand and there brains prolapsing out of there ears like the cretins from Suffolk.

To befair I wouldn''t mind emulating the Thiysson, Arnold Muhren S*um era at Norwich cause Ips*it from 1979-82 were unfortunately one of the best teams in Europe till them two and Bobby Robson left!
