Cantiaci Canary 556 Posted February 12, 2013 So long as we are a Premier League team Hughton should stay. People seem to forget that we are a small fish at this level - no club has less money than we do. We couldn''t have signed Carroll, Joe Cole, Benayoun, Jarvis, Diame, Pogrebnyak, Ramirez and Rodriguez like the promoted teams have done and expect the same when Leicester and Cardiff come up. Until we are funded by foreign billionaires we will have to scrap doggedly for every point we can home and away.Yes, things were different under Lambert but he was a magical manager who is arguably one of the best we''ve ever had. Not that we have the same level of funding as Stoke but let''s just hope that like them, year after year, we can gradually upgrade our team until it is a stable Prem force. For those suggesting that Hughton should be sacked - be bloomin'' careful what you wish for as big clubs like Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, Derby County, Leicester City, Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers and Wolverhampton Wanderers would do anyhting to be in our current position. Green shorts 0 Posted February 12, 2013 Well said, spot on and fully agree with you, stability is needed for the managers position and i wouldnt want NCFC to be part of the merry go round search for another new face, people also forget we havent had Ruddy in goal since before Christmas either and those are big boots to fill which must have had a more defensive mindset to instill in the team!
