Orford65 0 Posted February 22, 2013 .............and does the progress of Chelsea, Newcastle and Spurs into the last 16 put us at a disadvantage?Having played all three of the above home and away we do not stand to benefit from their involvement possibly getting in the way of their collecting P/L points, but several of our relegation rivals do.Fulham, Saints and Sunderland have to play all three of them, while West Ham and Wigan have yet to play Newcastle and Spurs. Villa come up against Chelsea and QPR face Newcastle.I suppose it depends on how far the trio progress as to how much it affects them and it could quite well hinder Newcastle''s league form badly, which could benefit us.Would we rather have this trio still to play or do our rivals have a slight advantage? ZLF 274 Posted February 22, 2013 Technically yes But practically no - we have plenty of games to gain the points we need; its in our hands and we are plenty good enough to get the points we need and finish the season comfortably.
