The Canary King 0 Posted January 26, 2013 Only Rudd, Garrido and Kane were not signed by Lambert in the starting 11. And from them only Kane had a poor game Without Hughton''s additions our squad would be the worst in the league by a long way.
MyGodWeArePoorToWatch 0 Posted January 26, 2013 Yes yes Mr Hughton. Now go and give the team a rollocking. !
Highland Canary 76 Posted January 26, 2013 A little harsh. Lambert approached matches in a different way. Cavalier and entertaining, certainly. Sustainable, unlikely. The real issue is that Hughton and the board failed in the Summer to address the striking department. An obvious weakness since last Christmas. That failure is one of the main drivers of our current slide.
Hannibal II 0 Posted January 26, 2013 When you take over a team you make the best of the players available to you. We had a very good attacking team which has been moulded into a shambles of a boring defensive inept team.
canaryfan68 0 Posted January 26, 2013 Hannibal - I couldn''t agree with you more. He has taken a team which had a few issues to one that is a total shambles. Have the players lost faith in him and his tactics?
Baldyboy 0 Posted January 26, 2013 so we go backwards and its Lamberts fault! Priceless!! Those players would NOT have played like that under Lambert!!
Gingerpele 0 Posted January 26, 2013 League cup game last season. These players did play like that.
Syteanric 1 Posted January 26, 2013 And it isnt hard to see why Villa are on the slide...Lambert possibly cant spot a player where as Hughton can, some might say that Lambert was more gung ho in his tactics where as Hughton is somewhat tactically naive...Have we missed out on the ideal management duo? Lambert as a leader of men, inspiring the team to better than imagined.. Hughton burrowing away at the transfer market signing good players...the 2 working together? would never have happened of course.. but a hell of a side we could have been!
