Webbo118 0 Posted February 5, 2013

. He twice paced out 8 yards in the Man City v Liverpool game. Hoped the assessor noticed.
Was it 8 steps or 8 yards? If the former perhaps he has long legs and know he needs fewer steps than the average bear? I can think of far more serious reffing crimes ;-)
I really can''t believe you have written that. I am well over 6 feet. Have you tried doing 4 feet paces lately? Just because there are potentially more serious reffing blunders should this be ignored? I would suggest that getting the wall back the correct distance is quite important for spectators'' enjoyment of the game. Gary Birtles referred to it tonight and reckoned the wall on some occasions was only 5 or 6 yards. Basic requirement for a referee to get this right and fundamentally important.
