Row D Seat 7 0 Posted February 6, 2013 Di Canio says Martin scored one goal, won one penalty and tackled for the ball once. Apart from that, he was poor.Looking forward to us releasing CM in the summer. He''s still living off his reputation when we were in League 1 and when he first broke onto the scene.A player with decent quality who believed his own hype a little too much. Surprised we''ve kept him for so long.
shefcanary 2,393 Posted February 6, 2013 Hull are looking for a striker - presumably if they enquired after Simeon, we couldn''t persuade them to take Martin? HumbersideSportHull City won''t be signing Norwich City''s Simeon Jackson on loan. We understand an enquiry was made last week but he''s not available #hcafc
Bethnal Yellow and Green 1,557 Posted February 6, 2013 The same Di Canio who said he would pay out of his own pocket to keep Martin, but when it looked like he might actually have to due to lack of funds suddenly doesn''t want him anymore (despite actually discussing staying with Martin who said he would rather play for the Championship clubs who are interested). Di Canio is talking Martin down on purpose to make it look like his masterplan not to keep him, rather than the fact Martin didn''t want to stay at Swindon and they can''t afford him anyway (as well as they fact they are still under a transfer ban so couldn''t extend the deal even if they wanted). priceyrice 123 Posted February 6, 2013 The comment about paying out of his own pocket was more him making a point to the fans about the ownership issues at the club at the moment. i doubt he said it purely to fund Martins wage. Also the amount he said he was going to put in would not have en covered Martin''s wage.Anyway, it seems like DI Canio, like the majority of City fans can see that Chris is/has wasted his gift and his career will never go beyond league 1/lower level champ
