No need to worry (pre-emptive tread)

Recommended Posts

Ok, so before people start panicking on here for failing to win and being on a 5 give winless streak, just thought i would have a look at the remaining fixtures. Basically we need one win a month from February onwards to secure safety, anything picked up in January is a bonus.

Below i have listed the remaining fixtures and I am very confident we can grab at least one win in each of those months. I am not going to predict which games we have won as we have shown throughout the season we are capable of beating any team on our day

I meant to add, one win each month (from Feb onwards) would give us 12 points, taking us on to 38 - which currently appears to be plenty of points to avoid the bottom 3 this season

The fixtures are always a mixture, never easy and the games you expect to win aren''t always the ones you do.

The fixtures aren''t what worry me, the PERFORMANCE is.

We seem to be the team with momentum, a negative one at that. Today showed that confidence is so important and with our fixtures other teams seem to be making more of a fight than what we are.

I feel we have a scoring problem and I don''t feel Hughton knows how to get us working in this area. Yes, I know I''ll get some stick for this but don''t believe you can pick and choose which games we can win as confidence and momentum will play a large part especially when we come to the business end of the season when the pressure is on.
Basically we need one win a month from February onwards to secure safety, anything picked up in January is a bonus.
Looks simple enough on paper but in reality it''s difficult to see us beating anyone based on today''s non performance. We should have, and could have, beaten Newcastle. Likewise W Brom & W Ham but we didn''t.
