flecky76 0 Posted January 20, 2013 Does this signal bad news I wonder?Had the Carrow Rd hierarchy believed negotiations were ongoing and looking positive from an NCFC point of view, I cannot see why they would have wanted to publicly agree we have made bids for Graham and Hooper. Surely we would have just dead batted back those questions to keep things under wraps?I''m just wondering whether the powers that be at Carrow Rd know they will not be successful with these 2 and that they now want to publicly demonstrate to everyone that ''we came close'' to these signings. Am now starting to think we will be focussing on plan B very soon. Come in CMS...
Mister Chops 7 Posted January 20, 2013 Given Celtic and Swansea have already confirmed we''ve made bids, what do you want Hughton to do - deny the inevitable truth?
havemyhowsonit 0 Posted January 20, 2013 Well obviously they''ve made bidsWhat team doesn''t in this stupid month

If deals were close I can''t imagine he would have said what he did.

Dr Greenthumb 790 Posted January 20, 2013 Stop fearing the worst! We are still in the running, Sunderlands bid for Graham was made public before ours! It happens a lot at other clubs, I personally like being in the know. Maybe Norwich have changed their transfer tactics as they are chasing bigger players with bigger competition. just wait and see what happens, I''ve given up believing anything until I see it! Stig 0 Posted January 20, 2013 I wouldn''t sniff at Le Fondre, he knows where the net is ! And Becchio seems to have a better idea than most of our squad! Hell, at this point I''d be cheering on CMS... what I mean to say is, hell, we can''t get too much worse eh?

Jules 0 Posted January 21, 2013 Not sure which of the many threads this belongs to, but the Scottish Daily Record newspaper is reporting this morning that NCFC are about to up our offer to £7 million.http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/norwich-boss-ready-to-up-ante-1547460
Surfbird 1 Posted January 21, 2013 Also Celtic are widely reported to be seeking a replacement for Hooper and he has disappeared from the betting lists.
city-till-i-die 7 Posted January 21, 2013 Reading between the lines from that artical we just need to up the offer a bit. Hooper has obviously stated his desire to play in the EPL. I''m sure we will get our man. Yes it maybe a little over what we want to pay but its worth a reported £65+ million to stay in the prem. Imho it''s worth paying that little extra to "hopefully" secure our No 1 target. OTBC.
